Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the North American Distribution Center Manager and be responsible for playing a key role in supporting and giving direction to the warehouse distribution and operations team in a fast-paced work environment. This position will be on-site at Safeguard Medicals HQ in Huntersville, NC.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead and mentor a team of material handlers and warehouse associates.
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and productive manner.
  • Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified operating procedures.
  • Operates various pieces of equipment used for material handling such as forklifts, pallet jacks, rolling carts, and wrapping machines.
  • Stores raw materials and finished goods in appropriate locations and provides completed documentation to Inventory Control Specialist.
  • Ensures warehouse work areas and other designated areas are maintained in a safe and orderly manner by complying with company standard operating procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Complete routine audits of designated work areas to ensure that said area meets standards set forth by the warehouse leadership team.
  • Assists in completing RCA on identified inventory discrepancies and all shipping related issues.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy and reports all discrepancies identified to the inventory control team.
  • Performs work according to GMP and ISO guidelines.
  • Completes training to stay current with job and procedural requirements.
  • Performs corrective counseling meetings with team members as needed.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years’ experience within warehousing, manufacturing, inventory, or related functions.
  • Proficient in ERP software (Microsoft D365 preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Forklift Certification required.
  • Lean 6 Sigma training desired.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

Performing the duties of this job requires the ability to stand for an 8+ hour shift. Must have the ability to lift and move

50+ pounds daily. Vision requirements include close vision, to adjust focus, and to color code.

Mental Requirements

This position requires the ability to maintain an appropriate work pace in a fast-paced environment, comprehend, and follow instructions. This position requires the ability to lead a team.

Other Requirements

Must be able to understand oral and written instructions. Good judgment and decision-making abilities are necessary. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good math and record keeping skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate but can be moderate to loud when on the production or warehouse floor.
