Job Overview:

The QA Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes within GBC Food Services, LLC comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. This role involves managing audits, maintaining compliance documentation, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. The QA Regulatory Compliance Manager will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory adherence.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise QA team members.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff regarding regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, including preparation, coordination, and follow-up activities.
  • Review and approve product labels, packaging, and marketing materials for compliance.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update company policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues and non-compliance incidents.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and other departments to ensure compliance in all phases of product development and manufacturing.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Use Safety Culture software to manage and track safety and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate and execute permitting in support of franchisees.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance software.
  • Experience with Safety Culture software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and standards.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within the food industry.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager) preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel to various facilities for audits and inspections.


Work Environment:

  • Office environment with occasional visits to facilities, both local and domestic.
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
