Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

This position involves coordinating maintenance activities with the maintenance supervisor, creating and managing Work Orders (WO), and logging daily data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track machine breakdowns, vendor services, and asset expenses. Responsibilities also include maintaining the Work Order Database, entering daily maintenance logs, and assisting with maintenance-related paperwork. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and collaborates closely with the Purchasing Manager.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain correct data in CMMS with direction of management.
  2. Coordinate PMs on assets with maintenance and parts department.
  3. Update and maintain CMMS data, files, and preventative maintenance for assets daily.
  4. Creating WO’s and Service Purchase Orders (PO) through CMMS by request.
  5. Gaining approval and processing POR’s for work order needs.
  6. Reporting PM due dates to Maintenance and appropriate management.
  7. Entering Maintenance Hours into appropriate WO’s and maintaining correct information.
  8. Completing any other specified duties administered from the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, Purchasing Manager, or Plant Manager.
  9. Proactively address any concerns while adhering to company policies and standards of behavior.
  10. Promptly and professionally communicate important information to the appropriate parties.


Requirements:

Job Requirements/Skills

  1. Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS.
  2. Attention to accuracy and detail required.
  3. Ability to work alone with minimal oversight, as well as a team player working with all personnel.
  4. Excellent communication skills, effectively coordinating with management and other departments.
  5. Strong Ability to adhere and uphold MetalX Policies and Procedures.

Education/Experience

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
  2. Previous experience working in manufacturing, inventory setting, and/or maintenance environment.

Physical Requirements

  1. Office Environment. Utilizing an office desk-sitting, reading, listening, or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
  2. Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, and phones.
  3. Forklift experience preferred, or willingness to learn and complete forklift training.
  4. Ability to regularly lift 30lbs.
  5. Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather
