Job Summary:
As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping and laundry operations within our community. Your role includes managing a team of housekeepers, ensuring high standards of cleanliness in apartments and common areas, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. You will play a crucial role in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Manage and schedule a team of housekeepers to ensure thorough cleaning of apartments and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing. Lead by example and inspire your team to achieve high levels of resident satisfaction.
  • Maintenance & Cleanliness: Oversee the cleanliness of all common areas, including the main entry, corridors, dining room, and activity rooms, ensuring they are visitor-ready at all times.
  • Laundry Services: Ensure efficient laundry operations, including linen changes and inventory management, to meet the community's needs. Address special requests from residents promptly.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and labor laws. Ensure the safe handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Budget & Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring the housekeeping department's budget, managing inventory levels, and preparing resident billing for additional services as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, showing initiative in overcoming challenges and assisting your team beyond your job responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of related experience in housekeeping and supervisory roles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and schedule staff effectively.
  • Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly population.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Occasional weekend, evening, or on-call work may be required.
