Position Highlights:

  • Location: Anchorage, Alaska
  • Start Date: December 1, 2024
  • Schedule: Two weeks per month in clinic; Four weeks per month of hospital call coverage.
  • Medical Setting: Diverse mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Call Requirements: Night call and 24-hour weekend call during in-clinic weeks; 24-hour virtual call coverage during non-clinic weeks.
  • Patient Volume: Approximately 12 patients per day.
  • Patient Age Range: Pediatric.
  • Charting System: Epic.

Role Overview: As a locum tenens Pediatric Neurologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients. Your responsibilities will include managing both inpatient and outpatient cases, with a dynamic blend of in-person clinic hours and virtual call coverage. During your in-clinic weeks, you'll handle night calls and weekend call shifts. In contrast, your virtual call weeks will involve around-the-clock remote coverage.

Support and Resources: You will be supported by a dedicated team including a Medical Assistant and two office staff members, ensuring a well-organized workflow. The facility is equipped with the Epic charting system to streamline patient management and documentation.

Credentialing and Licensing: We are flexible with licensing and will wait for the necessary credentials. The credentialing process is estimated to take 90-145 days.
