Job Overview

Seattle Children's is seeking a skilled Pediatric Neurologist to join our team. As a Pediatric Neurologist at Seattle Children's, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to children with neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat children with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and other conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation specialists, to provide comprehensive care to children
  • Participate in teaching and research activities, including academic regional teaching status at the University of Washington
  • Work with a robust nurse case manager system to assist with logistics and coordination of care for children and families

Requirements

  • Board eligible or current board certification through either the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics Neurology or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology
  • Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska and Washington
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and other certifications as required for specialty

Work Environment

The Pediatric Neurology clinic is embedded in the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center Specialty Pediatrics department, with access to pediatrics, dietitians, behavioral health consultants, integrated pharmacists, in-house laboratory and radiology services, and community health resources support. The clinic also has a vast telehealth network and opportunities to travel to field clinics throughout rural Alaska.

Qualifications

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.
