This Position provides food service support to Cardinal Ritter Senior Services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares food for residents, visitors and staff, when applicable.
- Maintains quality and sanitation standards of food production and portion control.
- Maintains, cleans and sanitizes food equipment and work surfaces daily.
- Records food temperatures accurately.
- Practices good personal hygiene.
- Maintains work and food storage areas in organized and sanitary manner.
- Delivers finished foods to serving area according to time schedule.
- Uses production sheets and spread sheets accurately.
- Batch cooks food whenever possible.
- Label, date, store and discard leftovers appropriately.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Three years-experience in cooking within a long-term care facility preferred.
- Able to read, write, and do simple arithmetic.
- Knowledge of English Language.
- Must know basic principles of quality and quantity food production.
- Must have 2-years of food service experience.
- Must be proficient in reading and following standardized recipes.
