Human Resources Business Partner

Job Description:
Responsible for providing support to the business for all employee-related issues, inquiries and requests. Influences and facilitates good business outcomes related to workforce planning, individual or team development, hiring, and employee performance and people issues and decisions through effective communication and using appropriate discretion, judgment and resources. Identify ways to support the business area based on company direction and current business area needs or issues. Lead or support HR and cross-functional company initiatives; reinforce key messaging around strategic direction and business decisions in interactions with employees and managers. Plans and leads projects and HR strategy. Identify areas for and develops performance metrics and directs actions to continuously improve HR functions. Strong teamwork, organization, and analytical skills are essential for success in this position, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role will also lead or assist in cross-functional projects and must work with business groups and collaborate with the entire HR team to support our company goals and employees at the highest level. Forward-thinker who can embrace the direction of the business areas and company, and then articulate and align the necessary steps, changes and solutions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Partner with the business to support their needs and to proactively provide relevant, insightful input and solutions
- Build effective relationships within the team and across the organization at all levels
- Help lead and prioritize the execution of the HR team vision and company strategy.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and business leaders to ensure development, talent and compensation philosophies and strategies are executed and understood throughout the business.
- Ensure HR processes and policies are executed in accordance with employment laws.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate people data to derive actionable insights, inform decision-making, and assess HR’s contribution to achieving strategic business objectives.
- Identifies, recommends and implements best practices and improvements to processes
- Effectively uses technology to increase the impact of HR and prepares the organization for the adoption of digital practices.
- Collaborates and communicates with, and effectively influences stakeholders across the Company.
- Respond to audit/compliance requests and coordinate related activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Solid knowledge of HR disciplines and best practices
- Solid knowledge of talent management, workforce planning and employee relations
- Solid understanding of compliance and business practices
- Is able to have difficult or uncomfortable conversations in a professional manner at all levels within or outside the HR team, and delivers the message appropriately.
- Understands HR impacts outside area of responsibility
- Analytical mindset with the ability to implement technology and process improvements.
- Develops, executes, and analyzes performance metrics within functional area.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Models behavior that promotes collaboration, professionalism and team success; service-oriented and solutions-minded.
- Is adaptable and can quickly get on board with change and helps others do so
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, knowledge of company specific software and related HR applications including Success Factors and other company systems.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference in business or HR .
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience required
