*6-Month Minimum Contract Assignment with option to extend

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs moderate to complex patient services work. Helps with any emotional or mental blocks that are related to sexual issues.
  • Providing counseling for individuals that are accepted and assigned.
  • Establishing goals and areas for improvement
  • Working with the Interdisciplinary Team and guardian for topics related to therapy or issues that arise.
  • Submit Monthly Progress Notes

Requirements
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Must be licensed Sexual Behavior Treatment Therapist and able to practice in Texas.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Photo ID
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Prior experience performing nursing duties
  • Must demonstrate considerable knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures; of health care laws and regulations; of medical diagnoses and procedures; of accepted medical treatment patterns; of community health and nursing care principles, practices, and procedures; of program regulations and procedures.
  • Must be able to appropriately interact with individuals with developmental disabilities and staff members.
  • Knowledge of nursing care standards, nursing procedures and techniques, and the principles and processes used in providing appropriate patient care.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and emergency equipment, i.e., CPR, and ability to assess and care for residents and/or staff members in emergency situations.
  • Skills in using reasoning to identify problems and in considering an appropriate resolution of situations.
  • Skill in the operation of computers and applicable computer software.
  • Skill in the care and treatment of patients.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records and to use an electronic health record system once trained.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to instruct others.
  • Must have strength and flexibility to safely perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
