We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising warehouse, shipping and receiving personnel, maintain receiving material books, and maintain inventory accuracy in Deacom (company ERP system).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train receiving personnel on the proper handling and inspection of incoming merchandise.
  • Train team members to use ERP system (DEACOM) and ensure they are cross trained to support/provide backup support to other departments.
  • Coordinate and prioritize the receiving of shipments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Inspect and verify the quantity, quality, and condition of all incoming merchandise.
  • Resolve any discrepancies and communicate with suppliers regarding damaged or missing items.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all received items are properly tagged and stored.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory control, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to safeguard the well-being of employees and the integrity of received goods.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on receiving activities and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • One to three years previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a shipping, receiving or warehouse environment.
  • Be knowledgeable in advance math
  • Strong knowledge of receiving procedures, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and common computer software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and inspecting merchandise.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce proper procedures.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITES

  • Ability to complete paperwork. Basic computer skills required. Excellent organizational, planning and attention to detail. Initiative to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision required. Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have ability to work off shifts and weekends. Required to travel to other facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and/or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes, cold, and heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
