Outpatient Anesthesiologist position

A reputable private practice in Manhattan, New York is seeking a skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologist to join their team in an outpatient setting at a state-of-the-art surgical center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, performing a variety of surgical cases and utilizing advanced techniques in regional anesthesia.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary.

Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia services for a range of outpatient surgical cases, including orthopedics (requiring regional anesthesia), general surgery, ENT, podiatry, and plastics.
- Perform pre-operative evaluations and assessments to determine the most appropriate anesthesia plan for each patient.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and optimal pain management.
- Utilize ultrasound-guided blocks to perform regional anesthesia techniques, optimizing patient outcomes and minimizing post-operative pain.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient patient care, including coordination of anesthesia services with surgical schedules.
- Document patient information, anesthesia plans, and perioperative care in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in ambulatory anesthesia and ultrasound-guided blocks through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree and completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
- Fellowship training in ambulatory anesthesia and proficiency in ultrasound-guided blocks is preferred. However, candidates with strong experience in these areas will also be considered.
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Excellent clinical skills in the administration of anesthesia and pain management, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple cases and prioritizing patient care in a fast-paced surgical center.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, surgeons, and healthcare professionals.
- Dedication to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
