Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPeoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Machinists experienced mechanical assembly in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton, NY within the machining industry. Machinist Job SummaryPay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour 1st Shift: Monday – Friday; 6am to 2:30pm2nd Shift: Monday – Friday; 2:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Sets up and runs one or more of the following general processes as required by job instructions. (Deburr, assembly, sawing, cutoff, packaging, etc.)
  • Must work in a safe manner and report any safety, machine, or equipment issues.
  • Starting machine and monitoring displays of machine operation to detect malfunctions.
  • Determines and documents machine set ups for each part as needed.
  • Stopping machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
  • Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches. The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required with most progressive tools.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, planning sheets, sketches.
  • Inspects work for all dimensional features as required and produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with company requirements.
  • Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to company policy.
Machinist Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of experience in new set-ups
  • 3-5 years of industry experience
  • Experience in manual machining preferred.
