This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

  • Program and Operate Zeiss Machine
  • Inspect to specific dimensions using Calypso software
  • Work with CMM Operator and Develop CMM Programs to be run.
  • Develop and store process documentation for the Dimensional Inspection area
  • Ensure process consistency/efficiency in area
  • You build on necessary skills for quality inspection techniques, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and identification of nonconforming hardware and support test activities.
  • Perform all assigned tasks based on demonstrated certified skills, and abilities while

Providing quality inspection for a wide variety of complex tasks using advanced inspection techniques:

  • You engage with cross-functional teams to eliminate quality control issues related to manufactured hardware.
  • Prepare paper and electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware.
  • You manage workflow given and ask for help as needed to support manufacturing schedules.
  • This Programmer Operator is specifically designed to be a planning and inspection role. This means that more than 50% of the Programmers's time during a typical week will be devoted to supporting the inspection work of the Operator and then the remainder is coordination with Production Manager and Machining Supervisor of Inspection priorities.
  • This position will require working off shifts and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliverables, including overtime as required.

Basic Qualifications: To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and comprehend detailed work instruction as well as interpret drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards.
  • Must be advanced experience in GD&T and its applications
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, and the use of computer resources to access specifications, engineering, and communicate effectively with others with minimal assistance.
  • Must be advanced in the use of Zeiss Calypso software
  • Willing and able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays depending production needs.
  • Quality Assurance dimensional inspection background

Skills: To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

  • Knowledge and proficiency using Zeiss
  • Experience with Calypso
  • Previous industry related experience a plus
  • Operation of CNC equipment is a plus
