Position type: Full-time / Part-time - full time preferred

Preferred start date: August 1 (flexible)

Pay: $25 - $40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Pay will increase as the practice grows.

Company introduction: Caravel Health DPC is a small, primary care medical practice using a unique model to provide health care - Direct Primary Care. Our patients pay a monthly membership fee ($50-100/mo) and get unlimited office visits and direct access to their doctor via text, email, or call without additional visit fees or copays. Included in the monthly membership fee are also several in-office procedures and tests and access to greatly reduced priced medications and labs conveniently offered through the office. We hope to help patients discover authentic family medicine, the kind of family medicine where genuine relationships help catalyze healing.

Job description:

  • Greet patients, take vitals, and room patients
  • Answer phone call, fax records, obtain records for patients
  • Assist in medication pick up / dispensing - count pills, print labels, review interactions, double check prescriptions, review side effects with patients
  • Perform or assist in-office testing and procedures - Strep test, Flu tests, Covid, urinalysis, IM/SC/joint injections, abscess drainages, suturing, etc
  • Perform phlebotomy and obtain IV access
  • Assist with medication and supplies inventory
  • Triage text messages and phone calls
  • Assist in day to day tasks - vacuum, wipe counters, stock lounge area, etc

Requirements:

  • Self starter work ethic, detail oriented, and an interest in connecting with patients
  • Personable, dependable, great communicator
  • Interested or well versed in the Direct Primary Care model
  • Venipuncture and IV access capable
  • Resume or CV (emailed)
  • Three References
  • Reliable transportation
  • Complete two-step interview process (video visit, 2-3 day acting interview in office)

Preferred:

  • Holistic approach to healthcare
  • At least one year work experience
  • Experience in venipuncture and IV access
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Experience is customer service
  • Comfortable with Social Media - participating in and creating content
  • Anticipating working with Caravel Health DPC for 10+ years

  • Monday: 9-5
  • Tuesday: 9-5
  • Wednesday: 9-5
  • Thursday:9-2
  • Friday:9-2
  • Total: 34 hours
