Job description
Our company is seeking an experienced and talented full time Land Surveying Crew Chief who has experience working in all areas of land surveying. Candidate should have prior surveying experience and be proficient in the use and maintenance of survey instruments (GPS, total stations, robotics, level rods, etc.). AutoCAD knowledge a plus Candidates that can draft, calculate, and complete field work are encouraged to apply.
MUST BE DEPENDABLE and able to work well with others, including taking instructions and following established procedures. Must be reliable and self-motivated. It is a requirement of this position to be detail oriented and take clear and complete field notes. Communication between the Crew Chief, the office, and other crews is pertinent.
Candidates will be expected to perform all the normal and customary duties a field Crew Chief. The ability to read plans, recognize, and remedy problems in design data is essential. This position is full time, year-round and primarily an outdoor position with the opportunity t aid on the office side of the surveying business. Salary commensurate with experience.
Experience in the following is preferred:
- Boundaries and Title Surveys
- Topography surveys
- Elevation and Flood Certificates
- ALTA surveys
- As Built Surveys
- Construction Layout
- Preparing and calculating construction stakeout
- Preparing cut sheets
- Reviewing Drafted Plans
- Drafting

REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of working at least 40 hours per week between the hours of 8 am to 5pm
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to produce accurate work and be detail oriented.
- Excellent English and communication skills
- Eligible to work under US Law
- Be willing to work primarily in the field and sometimes in the office.
- Knowledgeable in Carlson Software and/or AutoCAD design software
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Be able to lift 40+ lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Houry: $25 to $35 per hour
