We are looking for our next Facilities, Fleet and Equipment Director here at Adams Power in Elkhorn, WI. Adams has been in this area since 1988 providing our customers with the best support in the area in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services as well as Generac Home Backup System sales, installation, and service. In this role, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer; your primary duty will involve ensuring our team functions at optimal efficiency by managing the maintenance of our daily-used fleet, equipment, and facilities.

Adams Power offers competitive wages and full benefits. The schedule for this role is day/first shift, with some flexibility for larger projects. The pay will be discussed at the very beginning of the interview process and is based on recent, relevant experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of all facilities at the five locations.
Ensure facilities are well-maintained, safe, and comply with applicable regulations and standards.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to keep facilities in optimal condition.
Manage repairs, maintenance, and renovations for all facilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address facility-related needs.
Develop and implement facility policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Manage the budget for facility operations and maintenance.
Responsible for the maintenance of all vehicles owned and operated by Adams.
Schedule and supervise external contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance.
Coordinate, manage or complete routine maintenance tasks for vehicles, including engine and transmission work.
Ensure vehicles follow safety guidelines and regulations.
Source and procure vehicle maintenance parts and materials.
Manage records of fleet maintenance activities.
Coordinate the installation of vehicle graphics.
Submitting new vehicles, trailers, and equipment purchases for insurance coverage.
Obtaining vehicle and trailer licensure.
Assist in submitting accident claims to the insurance carrier.
Supervise facility staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Collaborate with Division Leaders, team members, and vendors to understand facility and fleet requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to facility operations, fleet maintenance, and repairs.
Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and retention policies.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facilities and fleet management.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, energy efficiency, and process improvement.

Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
ASE Certification preferred
Facility Maintenance Certifications preferred

Minimum Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-years of motor vehicle maintenance experience
Minimum 3-years in fleet management experience
Minimum 3-years facility maintenance experience
Minimum 1-year supervisory or management experience


Computer Skills:
PC proficiency is required, with experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Reasoning Ability:
Requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Language Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Requires mastery of business English language skills to read, analyze, and interpret information, policies and procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Able to write reports and business correspondence.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of weight. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The Employee works in an shop environment. Generally, the work environment's noise level is moderate to loud. Hearing protection is required when operating, or around, loud machinery or equipment.
