Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly and reliable Part-Time Front Desk Associate to join our team at South Padre Island. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves interacting with guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Abilities:
- Proficient with computer systems; hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good judgment and ability to follow managerial directions.
- Creative and able to work well under pressure.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
- Quick to respond in emergency situations.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor work orders.
- Check in contractors and ensure all records are accurately completed.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, guests, and property owners.
- Work from 9 am to 5 pm or as required.
- Uphold and represent the company’s values, vision, and mission.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and generate reports.
- Enforce property rules and assist owners and guests with inquiries.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Be courteous and helpful to all.
- Maintain a daily activity log.
- Familiarize yourself with the property and its condos.
- Sell items and manage the cash register.
- Report unusual situations with photos and documentation; take immediate action when necessary.
- Update night staff on any pending tasks.
- Prepare keys for fumigation services.
- Monitor for suspicious activities.
- Support eviction events and contact the police if needed.
- Assist with condo inspections.
- Act as a witness when required.
- Handle situations independently and escalate to the manager when necessary.
- Greet guests and owners, providing excellent customer service.
- Answer questions and handle incoming calls.
- Accept and manage mail and packages.
- Be available to work weekends.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
