Parts Development Commodity Buyer Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

- Understand program sourcing and key milestones for launch.
- Identify potential suppliers and analyze capabilities.
- Determine prices and select suppliers in collaboration with Engineering and relevant teams.
- Prepare RFI’s, RFPs, and RFQ's for multi-year full production volume.
- Develop and manage the supply base for assigned commodities.
- Lead cost reduction activities.
- Negotiate long-term agreements and maintain competitive pricing.
- Lead supplier development activities.
- Ensure supplier compliance with specifications and timelines.
- Evaluate and guide the final selection of suppliers.
- Drive flawless launches, adhering to ISIR (PPAP) standards.
- Develop and achieve target quality levels.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best-in-class pricing.
- Develop purchasing strategies in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
Parts Development Commodity Buyer Assistant Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Minimum 5 years of related job experience.
- Automotive industry experience in Purchasing, APQP, PPAP, Supplier Development/Engineering, Launch, Program Management, or related fields.
- Experience in manufacturing processes, including various techniques and materials.
- Understanding of piece price analysis.
