Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a full time 1st Shift Assembler

Hours are M-Th 7:00am-4:30pm Friday 7:00am-11:00am. Starting pay $14-$15/hr DOE

JOB SUMMARY:Assemble products, such as, caster rigs and wheels of various materials, using hand tools and portable powered tools. May operate riveting machine to assist in assembly operation. Performs any combination of the following repetitive tasks on assembly line to mass-produce casters assemblies.Final product must be properly packaged. Order verification must be performed and product must be packed to prevent damage.The Assembler reports to the Production Manager.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Assemble a variety of products or sub-assemblies of different parts.
  2. Ensure that parts conform to standard tolerances.
  3. Requires aligning, fitting, and adjusting parts to meet operating requirements of products.
  4. Use of hand tools and/or power tools during assembly.
  5. Interpret work instructions from the bill of material.
  6. Notify supervisor of any discrepancy with the bill of material, inventory shortages, or bad parts.
  7. Packing duties include part identification and verification of counts against pick tickets.
  8. Pack product properly to prevent damage in transit
  9. Print clearly and neatly on packing boxes, applying weight restraints on small boxes.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Performs other duties as assigned
  2. Assist in annual physical inventory
  3. May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require.

  1. Ability to stand for an eight hour time period
  2. Ability to lift from the floor to mid-height level, up to 60 lbs
  3. Ability to work in a non climate controlled environment
