At JA Frate with over 50 years in the transportation industry we pride ourselves on our on-time delivery and customer satisfaction and our amazing team that makes that happen every day


We are currently looking for a full-time Dock Worker Monday through Friday from 8:00pm to 4:00am to load and unload trailers at our terminal location in Elk Grove Village. Some overtime may occasionally be required.


When you join the JA Frate team you will receive competitive pay, scheduled increases, 401K plan and comprehensive medical benefits for you and your family. Other benefits include paid Birthday, vacation and holiday.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Prepare, inspect, and clean trailers before loading freight.
  • Review freight bills for special instructions and inspect freight for damage.
  • Complete all tasks in a safe and timely manner and follow all safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 1 year forklift experience, certified preferred.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to pass Fitness for Duty physical and drug screen.
