Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Analysis: Assess and analyze existing supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations. Focus on enhancing procurement processes, improving inventory control, and streamlining logistics to support better patient care and cost management.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors. Develop strategies for vendor selection, negotiation, and performance management to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability of supply chain partners.
  • Inventory Management: Design and implement inventory management practices to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and ensure the availability of critical supplies. Use data-driven approaches to balance inventory levels with demand.
  • Procurement Optimization: Review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Develop best practices for sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain. Analyze spend data to negotiate better terms with suppliers and reduce overall supply chain costs.
  • Technology Integration: Advise on and support the integration of supply chain management technologies, such as inventory management systems, electronic procurement systems, and data analytics platforms. Ensure effective use of technology to streamline supply chain operations.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supply chain operations. Develop strategies to manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions and regulatory changes.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for supply chain performance. Track progress, measure outcomes, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective implementation of supply chain strategies. Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)) preferred.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in supply chain consulting, supply chain management, or a related role within the healthcare industry or a similar field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of supply chain principles, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Proficiency in supply chain optimization, data analysis, and technology integration.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex supply chain information and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Abilities: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply chain data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage supply chain projects, including developing plans, coordinating resources, and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, strategic thinker, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
