Summary of the Position: The Equine Marketing Specialist will assist the Equine Marketing team in coordinating and executing tasks and projects that align with organizational goals and objectives. These duties include but are not limited to, trade show and event execution, sponsorship management, coordination of marketing & sales budget, and other duties as assigned.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for event execution at Land Rover and other smaller equine shows as needed with guidance from brand manager. Responsibilities include:
    • Assist with developing position papers, briefs, contracts, and event budgets
    • Assist with the creation and distribution of event assets and collateral, such as signage, displays, ads, etc.
    • Work directly with equine influencers to execute on event specific campaigns, booth draws, and other activities
    • Work directly with internal and external designers to coordinate assets, contracts, invoices, meetings, etc.
    • Work directly with any third-party media companies to execute event campaigns
    • Coordinate and assemble requirements for events as defined by each event organization
    • Understand booth requirements and coordinate service needs, such as installation, shipping, etc.
    • Ensure items needed for event are available and packed in a timely manner for event delivery
    • Communicate with event team to ensure coordination of attire, schedule, and other requirements
    • Execute on any paperwork requirements, such as COIs, applications, and company profiles
    • Travel to Land Rover and other events as needed to support business needs
    • Assist brand manager with follow-ups, such as processing leads, event team surveys, etc.
  • Responsible for equine premium and marketing collateral procurement, and inventory management including but not limited to:
    • Procuring in-store endcap, aisle violators, shelf-talkers, literature pieces, etc.
    • Ensuring equine premiums and literature are available for all shows, in-store placements, and at-hand for sales reps
    • Leading in delivery of premiums and literature to sales reps, retailer stores, equine farms, etc.
    • Acquisition, payment, and/or distribution of logo-wear for influencers as defined by their contracts
  • Responsible for the management of equine influencers, which includes:
    • Ensuring contract renews are executed annually and on time
    • Managing contract asset coordination as defined by brand plans and campaign needs
    • Lead in payment of sponsorship fees, travel expenses, etc.
    • Lead in the coordination of product distribution
    • Lead in organizing monthly meetings, including scheduling, running meeting (via Teams or phone) maintaining and distributing meeting notes, follow-ups, etc.
  • Reconcile and manage vet/equine budgets. Responsibilities to include:
    • Work with marketing teams to collect and gain approval for monthly invoices
    • Execute accurate coding of invoices
    • Update and maintain budget spreadsheet
    • Report monthly spend to Associate Marketing Director and Finance
    • Collect, code, gain approval, and track equine invoices and report to equine brand manager monthly
  • Perform other marketing/administrative assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objective
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and ensure understanding and alignment to marketing plans
  • Regular Attendance Required.

Minimum Requirements Proven success and significant work experience in supporting marketing teams. Excellent computer skills including MS Office. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant field and/or a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a communications/marketing role. Industry experience in the marketing of animal health, consumer health, nutritional or pharmaceutical industries desired. Animal background is preferred, but not required.
