Job Summary

In an effort to expand the services Rainbow Village offers, we are seeking a Success Coach that would aide in providing homelessness prevention support. This position is being created in partnership with Georgia Uplift.

 

In partnership with several organizations providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the Success Coach is responsible for supporting frontline employees to mitigate or remove barriers to maintaining employment by linking them with resources and/or coaching them through crisis situations. Monitor job performance, progress and identify various challenges for retaining employment, address those challenges, develop retention strategies, and maintain communication until resolved including follow up. Must be able to keep accurate and timely records of interactions, ensuring close contact, case management, and strong working relationships with various HR staff. Build rapport and trust among employees seeking assistance, maintaining confidentiality, and providing exceptional customer service.

 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with employees, supervisors, and HR staff to manage any and all challenges that employees might face in retaining employment by providing necessary supportive services.  Maintain excellent work relationships with staff, working in coordination and providing support when needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies for successful outreach and relationship building among the target employees.  Assist with marketing the Employee Resource Network (ERN) services.
  • Travel to worksites, public spaces or neutral offices to meet employees seeking assistance on a schedule that is flexible and in the best interest of the employee to the best extent possible.
  • Assist employees serving as a liaison with employers if needed, in issues related to retention with the goal of successful employment retention for long-term success.
  • Present services for staff or other meetings where frontline staff are in attendance.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with representatives from a variety of community-based resources available to support vulnerable persons.  Meet and greet representatives to introduce the ERN project and garner their support.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of public resources (e.g. TANF, WIC, SNAP, childcare subsidies, Medicaid, etc.) available to support persons with financial vulnerabilities.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate and timely records of all activities and submitting reports as requested.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining client hard copy and database files with the highest level of detail and timeliness possible.
  • Conduct research, interviews and collect information necessary for, and produce, success stories to be utilized in reports, grants, and publications.
  • Maintain, analyze, and explain data on all aspects of retention for presentations, reports and compliance purposes for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively working towards accomplishing and meeting program goals as outlined within contracts, while keeping the employee at the front of mind.
  • Meets with the leadership team as requested to share project information related to operations and results and is responsive to other requests.
  • Must be able to travel daily and maintain a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends, as needed.

Job Qualifications

    • Minimum of three years of experience in a social/human service agency or nonprofit.

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Certified life coaches will also be considered.
  • An in-depth understanding of  Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Familiarity with the needs of the low-income population and collaborative work experiences.
  • Experience with data collection, database management, and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals/ groups while maintaining confidentiality and use of appropriate discretion.
  • Capacity to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, follow directions, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and manage stressful situations effectively.
  • Must be able to travel between locations, without issues, by way of own means.
  • Flexible schedule to work outside of normal business hours to meet employee needs and to attend trainings and meetings.
  • Bilingual in oral and written English and Spanish a plus
  • Must be flexible and have a good sense of humor. 

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as within the community and at partnering organization’s locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.  Travel and work outside of normal hours may be required for meetings, presentations, trainings and other events.
