We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at our Miami Beach location. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Advocate: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, putting them at ease during a potentially stressful time. Actively listen to their concerns and answer questions clearly and concisely.
  • Registration Expert: Efficiently register new and returning patients, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance coverage and communicate any co-pay or deductible requirements.
  • Scheduling Maestro: Coordinate patient appointments for urgent care needs, ensuring efficient flow and minimal wait times. Manage the check-in process to streamline patient flow.
  • Communication Hub: Clearly communicate with patients, physicians, and other team members regarding appointments, wait times, and updates. Answer phone calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Ace: Maintain accurate medical records and billing information within our electronic health record system. Process payments efficiently and handle financial transactions with accuracy.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk.
  • Safety Champion: Maintain a clean and sanitized environment for patients and staff, following all infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced healthcare or customer service environment (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn new software programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism (English/Spanish) a strong plus.
  • Positive attitude, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
