Engineering Manager/Product Owner

We are currently seeking an engineering Manager who has experience acting as a technical lead while providing career management to a small team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Software Engineer, Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience as well as 5 years experience developing software as an individual contributor and 2-3 years experience as a technical lead. Previous product owner experience is a plus.

Overall Responsibility:

Manages and directs activities of an engineering department

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality and productivity standards are met and maintained.

· Manages product and/or program design from design to execution and delivery/deployment.

· Builds, develops, and manages engineering teams capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives.

· Manages the implementation of software in accordance with customer requirements, design constraints, and established workflow procedures.

· Envisions and implements technical innovations to improve team processes and performance.

· Develops new business leads and contributes to new business development.

· Positively impacts organization's business and financial performance.


Qualifications:

· BS Degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, related degree, or equivalent experience

· 5 years of experience developing software and managing technical teams


Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a substantial amount of time operating a computer terminal.

· Frequently communicates with clients, team members, etc.

· Travel may be required
