Job DescriptionJob Description

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

To provide Professional Engineering support and technical assistance to the Eastern Engineering and Permitting group.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support permitting and compliance efforts at Eastern Operations through review and certification of permitting submittals.
  • Perform annual MSHA and quarterly WVDEP inspections and certifications for the two impoundments at Upshur Property.
  • Perform annual drainage inspections and certifications for all idle WV operations permits.
  • Coordination of annual 3rd party impoundment audits.
  • Assist with aboveground storage tank (AST) inventory updates and reporting, GPP and SPCC updates for idle WV operations as required.
  • Support TSM activities as required.
  • Assist with reclamation and special projects as required.
  • Assist in divestiture and acquisition evaluations, as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science, Degree in mining, civil engineering, or equivalent field
  • Professional registration in WV
  • 2 - 5 Years engineering experience
  • Impoundment inspection certification or ability to obtain.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Carlson
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Power point
  • Excellentorganizationalandcommunicationskills,bothwrittenandoral
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional registration in (PA, MD, KY)
  • Working knowledge of WVDEP rules, laws, and regulations
  • Working knowledge of MSHA rules, laws and regulations
