Job Description:


As a Site Safety Manager, you will be responsible for conducting daily safety inspections, documenting safety practices, leading safety training, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety programs and regulations. You will have a hands-on role, ensuring the safe and compliant execution of our construction projects.


Responsibilities:


  1. Daily Safety Inspections: Perform and log daily site safety inspections, documenting all safety violations, and recognizing good safety practices.
  2. Photographic Documentation: Photo-document all safety issues and instances of good safety practices.
  3. Safety Reporting: Maintain daily safety reports within Procore, tracking issue dates and correction dates.
  4. Weekly Audits: Conduct weekly safety audits in collaboration with the Department Managers, Construction Manager, and General Contractor. Document and photograph all safety issues and positive safety practices.
  5. Daily Follow-Up: Respond to comments and queries on daily safety issues, ensuring all safety concerns have been appropriately addressed and resolved.
  6. Safety Training: Lead required safety training for the project team.
  7. Safety Meetings: Attend and contribute to the General Contractor's weekly safety meeting.
  8. Daily Meetings with Senior CM/GC: Discuss the day’s safety issues, seeking clarification on unresolved issues.
  9. Compliance Enforcement: Ensure compliance with the General Contractor's safety program, the Company Cares Program, and all State and Federal safety requirements.
  10. Awards Program: Work closely with the Construction Manager and General Contractor on awarding Company Care awards.


Outputs:


  1. Daily Documentation: Maintain comprehensive daily logs of project activities and progress, complete with meeting notes, infrastructure trackers, photos, and COLOR.
  2. Safety Leadership: Uphold and promote safety standards through weekly safety audits and the Company Cares Safety Program.

  1. DON'T skip a day of any daily, weekly, or monthly responsibility.


Qualifications:


  1. Proven experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry.
  2. Thorough knowledge of safety legislation and procedures.
  3. Proficient in Procore or similar construction management software.
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead safety training.
  5. BSc/BA in safety management, engineering, or a relevant field is preferred.
  6. Professional certifications in occupational health and safety.
