Employee Engagement Specialist

Newark, OH

Salary: $50K/Yearly

As the Employee Engagement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the workplace culture by developing and implementing strategies that enhance job satisfaction and employee retention. This position focuses on understanding the dynamics of the workforce, identifying areas for improvement, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages productivity and collaboration. This is not a remote role. This position is locked in Newark, OH.

Major Responsibilities

Design and Implement Engagement Programs:

Develop and implement comprehensive employee engagement programs that align with the company's strategic goals and culture.

Create initiatives such as recognition programs, team-building activities, and wellness programs.

Gather Employee Feedback:

Facilitate the Workplace Development Committee meetings, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews with employees at all levels to gather feedback on workplace satisfaction, engagement drivers, and areas for improvement.

Administer employee surveys to measure engagement levels, analyze results, and identify trends.

Collaborate with Leadership:

Partner with department leaders to create effective engagement plans for all members.

Address specific challenges and leverage unique opportunities to boost morale and productivity.

Gather support and assistance through collaboration with supervisors and managers.

Organize Company-Wide Events:

Plan and execute company-wide events, such as engagement activities, raffles, holiday parties, fundraisers, etc.

Foster a sense of community and belonging among employees.

Internal Communication:

Work alongside our communications specialist to create effective communications on engagement activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

Support the department's educational outreach programs through active participation.

Aid in various department duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is required.

Proven experience in employee engagement, organizational development, or related roles.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Passion for creating a supportive and engaging workplace.
