Accounts Receivable Specialist



Accounts Receivable Specialist


Position Type: Hourly + Performance-Based Bonus


Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern


Reports to: VP of Finance


Summary/Objective

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for maintaining customer files, posting customer payments, and reconciling any discrepancies.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with preparing, posting, and verifying customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Helps to maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Invoicing customers
  • Processing debit and credit memos.
  • Determining customer credit and collecting on past due invoices.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in accounting or finance
