Job Overview:
As a Yard Hand at Reliable Tire Disposal, you play a crucial role in safely and efficiently loading and unloading tires from various vessels for delivery/disposal. Reporting to the Site Manager, you are responsible for executing onsite customer disposals, loading and preparing trailers for transport, adhering to safety and environmental regulations, maintaining equipment integrity, and communicating effectively with the team and customers. Success in this role is measured by your ability to uphold safety standards, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading:
- Collaborate with the Drivers to load and unload tires, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling.
- Maintain a focus on safety and minimize the risk of damage to equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections throughout the facility grounds, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for safe and efficient operation.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Obey all safety and environment regulations, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and those around you.
- Report unsafe situations or incidents promptly to the Site Manager.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate with the Logistics Manager for route updates, manifests, and customer concerns.
- Report any property damage or accidents immediately.
- Customer Interaction:
- Interact professionally with customers during on site disposals.
- Address customer concerns promptly and communicate effectively to resolve issues.
- Zero customer conflict
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work in all environmental elements
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and moving tires.
- Mechanical inclination, small engine repair is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
