Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Qualifications:ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:$10K Sign on Bonus and Relocation Package available.As an electrical engineer for Undersea Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems.We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
Power System architecture and grounding
Transmission Line Effects in power systems
Magnetics Design
What sets you apart: Expert level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Circuit Design expertise
Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
Feedback / Control systems experience
Power System architecture and grounding
Isolated Switching Converters
Transmission Line Effects in power systems
EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc.)
Magnetics Design and High-Speed Design experience is desirable.
Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components.
The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Ability to travel as needed.
