POSITION PURPOSE
The Human Resources Manager for the Business Service Operation (BSO) plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of Human Resources Management to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees, compliance with all company policies and legal aspects of employee/employer relationships. The Human Resources Manager directs BSO recruitment and retention program to ensure availability of appropriate staffing resources, serves as a resource to department managers and other employees, coordinates the onboarding with the BSO Education Program Manager, assists with Benefits administration, acts as liaison between Corporate HR and BSO management, and ensures appropriate documentation and record-keeping for regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for helping create an environment and culture that enables the BSO to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the BSO mission to all staff, holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance and being responsible for the operation, measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement of the department's performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Handles employee relations matters.
- Assists with Benefits Administration.
- Directs BSO recruitment and retention program to ensure availability of staffing resources.
- Leverages and maximizes employees' unique talents and perspectives to improve business performance.
- Gathers compensation and benefit data from local market and competitors.
- Coordinates the education program in conjunction with the BSO Education Program Manager
- Accesses information for research, policies/procedures, compliance, legal, BSO needs, etc.
- Uses applications to generate reports, research issues, identify resources, and access databases.
- Manages and monitors Employee Health activities and Workers' Compensation claims and costs.
- Recognizes the needs of the customer and demonstrates a willingness to satisfy those needs.
- Holds staff accountable for demonstrating an attitude of willingness to satisfy customer needs.
- Utilizes tools to measure the BSO's service excellence against standards.
- Follows up to ensure adequate resolution based on results of measuring tools.
- Recognizes the needs of the customer and demonstrates a willingness to satisfy those needs.
- Ensures policies and procedures are incorporated into daily personnel and BSO activities.
- Follows up on alleged policy violations.
- This position must sit at our Business Service Operation located in Land O' Lakes, FL
Qualifications
License or Certification:
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SPHR certification preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Personnel Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration or related field required. Experience may substitute for four year degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of three to five years of Human Resources Management experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, SharePoint, PeopleSoft and PowerPoint preferred.
