Woodbridge Medical Associates, PA is a patient centered medical practice that specializes in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The qualified candidate must hold a valid Medical Assistant certification and have prior Medical Assistant experience. This position offers 35 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package.

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients from the waiting room to the exam rooms.
  • Obtain patients medical information and measure their vital signs, height, and weight.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all exam rooms and properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Administer injections.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Obtain prior authorization for prescribed medication and respond to refill requests.
  • Record patient medical information into the EMR.
  • Call patients with test results and provide physician instructions.
  • Answer incoming calls to the clinical department.
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
  • Valid Medical Assistant certification and prior Medical Assistant experience required.
  • Must be able to work Monday to Friday. One evening shift per week is required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.
  • CPR certification preferred but not required at time of hire.
