Senior Financial Planning Analyst


Role and Responsibilities

An energetic Senior Financial Analyst with knowledge and experience performing complex modelilng and analysis using Net Suite Planning.  This person will be responsible for assisting our Controller and CFO with financial modelling, analysis, reporting, data analytics and assist the company in developing a Business Intelligence capability

Successful candidates must have experience managing the functions of an FP&A organization and possess strong analytical skills, accounting and financial acumen, be a strategic thinker, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders.

  

This position will report to our Director of Finance

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the continued development of the company’s Net Suite Planning financial models and corporate budget and lead efforts to manage the company’s annual planning process. 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data including cost analysis, profitability analysis, ROI analysis, and manage the development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPI’s) to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist senior management with the development of a Business Intelligence capability and regularly review business performance metrics with varying levels of the organization, focusing on valuation creation and cost management.
  • Assist with the development of cash flow forecast models.
  • Conduct analysis and reporting to provide insights to support short- and long-term strategic planning initiatives, including evaluation of new business products and services, investments, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Research industry/competitor trends and benchmarks to aid in the development of Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist with the development of presentations of financial and operational information and analysis
  • Assist with the development of pricing models for both products and services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to include accounting, operations, sales, and client services to gather relevant financial and operational data to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct Ad Hoc Analysis and manage special projects as requested by senior leadership and other company stakeholders.

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required), Finance or related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training and/or work experience. MBA would be preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial analysis experience and must have strong/advanced MS Excel experience in addition to NetSuite Planning experience. Your experience must include interacting with all levels of an organization so include C-level positions regularly.  Successful candidates must have experience managing the functions of an FP&A organization and possess strong analytical skills, accounting and financial acumen, be a strategic thinker, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders.   
  • S. Accounting (Required), Minimum 10 years of experience operating in a Senior FP&A position
  • Proven financial modelling skills with Net Suite Planning, and experience with Net Suite
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Must have Advanced Excel Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statements (solid accounting theory)
  • Must be deadline-driven, fast-paced, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with large datasets
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence software and development of KPI dashboards.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the position will be regularly interacting with senior management and other stakeholders.  
  • Self-motivated team Player but able to work independently
