Job Overview:
  • The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for delivering proactive and insightful financial analysis to support the USIS Data Marketing (DDM) division within the USIS business unit, enabling the achievement of both short and long-term strategic and financial objectives. This role includes ownership of the P&L for one of the two areas (IXI) that comprise DDM. The analyst will frequently collaborate with the USIS Finance Senior management team and Senior Sales leadership team to present financial information in a clear and impactful manner, facilitating effective decision-making. This position will serve as the subject matter expert for DDM IXI within USIS and will play a pivotal role within the USIS DDM FPA team.
  • This role operates under a hybrid workplace model, offering the flexibility to work remotely as well as in-office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support value-added planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, including month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Collaborate with various business areas and management to prepare annual budgets, summarizing and presenting the budget with the FPA Lead to support DDM sales initiatives.
  • Analyze DDM IXI expenditures and trends, preparing a variety of reports and summaries of business results for management reporting.
  • Engage with different business areas and management on monthly financial forecasts reflecting expenses, revenue, new business deals, and various ad hoc projects.
  • Assist in Revenue Recognition efforts to ensure compliance with accounting rules, which includes reviewing contracts and liaising with accounting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in P&L management, preferably in a sales environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and influence others.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Smartview.
  • Financial modeling skills are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Hyperion, Oracle Projects, and/or OBI (Business Intelligence Objects).
  • Knowledge and experience with Revenue Recognition.
