Bowl Assembler

## Position Overview:

Our organization is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Vertical Turbine Bowl Assembler to join our dynamic team. This specialized role focuses on the assembly, inspection, and testing of vertical turbine bowls used in various applications, including water supply, irrigation, and industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, precision assembly skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

## Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble, fit, and secure component parts of vertical turbine bowls, including bearings, seals, impellers, and diffusers, following blueprints and assembly instructions.

- Inspect and verify dimensions and alignment of parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.

- Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making adjustments or repairs as necessary to meet quality standards.

- Apply and secure gaskets, seals, and lubricants as required during the assembly process.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.

- Collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to recommend improvements to assembly processes and product design based on assembly experience.

- Document assembly processes and test results, maintaining accurate records for quality assurance purposes.

- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

- Perform maintenance on assembly equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order.

## Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical assembly role, with specific experience in assembling vertical turbine pumps or similar equipment.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality assembly outcomes.

- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.

- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
