Position Title: Quality Supervisor

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Company Vision: To be an industry expert for supplying precision machined components and assemblies to OEM’s in the U.S.A. 

Primary Job Duties: 
  • Oversee all aspects of the Quality Department, Quality Control and Quality Systems in adherence of AS9100 standards.
  • Quality compliance, responding to customer issues, risk mitigation, and new product introductions.
  • Interface with customers and vendors for conformance issues.
  • Supervision of quality personnel.
  • Perform quality system audits for Internal, Customer, Supplier and Third-Party Audits as required.
  • Verify customer orders have appropriate controls, prints, and employee instructions.
  • Prepare PPAP documentation, FAI submissions, Capability Studies and other customer driven documentation requirements.
  • Develop gauging and inspection plans, design and implement special gages, uses standard gage techniques and apply gage R&R testing, as applicable.
  • Define process specifications, as applicable, to the manufacturing process
  • Advise manufacturing engineering and production teams to effective compliance with customer requirements.
  • Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable and sequential sampling methods, identifying sample size and acceptable error
  • Create and monitor Non-Conforming and Corrective and Preventative Action system; Control MRB area.
  • Verify Quality System effectiveness by auditing and reporting; prepares periodic reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
  • Participate in contract review process for customer purchase orders and quality specifications to ensure that requirements can be and are supported.
  • Communicate directly with customers.
  • Communicate work status.
  • Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles, and Philosophies.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Any specifically assigned tasks.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements: 
  • Degree preferred but not required.
  • 5 years’ experience supervising employees.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO13485, and ISO9001 standards.
  • Must be able to communicate and convey information to others.
  • Must be able to use, calibrate, and select tools, gages, and work aids to perform tasks.
  • Working knowledge of CMM and PC-DMIS
  • Must be able to prioritize work duties to reflect frequent changes, delays, and/or unexpected events during the work shift.
  • Must be able to precisely verify operator and machine performance against production documentation and customer specifications.
  • Excellent Math skills up to and including statistics.
  • Ability to prepare reports on quality performance.
  • Experience and knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, APQP.
  • Strong blueprint reading abilities, including GD&T.
  • Strong working knowledge of metrology, instruments, and dimensional measurements techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of corrective actions and various problem-solving techniques (5-why, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills, including statistical software.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational ability.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, diligence and attention to detail.
  • Background in machining QC.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt a plus.
  • Ability to use calibration tooling.
  • Microsoft office software.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting to 50lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc.
  • Activities consistent with an office setting.
