Job DescriptionJob Description

**Summary: **Tests, analyzes and adjusts electro-mechanical devices such as timers, mechanical/solid state relays, solenoid valves, and electrically activated regulators. Should be familiar with major components such as power units, processor operation and simple programming. Must have the ability to make repairs and troubleshoot components with use of meters, blueprints, and other specifications.

Schedule: 7pm-7am - night shift (2-2-3 schedule)

Job Duties:

  • Installs tooling and performs set-ups, as well as corrective and preventative maintenance on thermoforming machines and auxiliary equipment, such as grinders, vacuum pumps, motors, gear boxes, and hoists.

  • Conducts mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Performs root cause analysis to identify causes of defects and troubleshoots problems.

  • Identifies, retrieves, and replaces machine components from the stockroom; creates and fulfills orders via a cloud-based parts management system.

  • Escalates issues to a set up technician (recognizing source and scope of problems and communication).

  • Must maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Basic knowledge expectations:

  • Proper use of Hand tools
  • Good Communication skills
  • MEP (mechanical, Electrical, plumbing)
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Ensure that safety standards are maintained while performing duties.
  • Proficient in Lock out tag out procedures.
  • Trained in Pit equipment use.
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Lubrication of equipment
  • Checking and replacement of bearings
  • Understanding of Pumps and Seals
  • Proficient in Troubleshooting skills
  • Diagnose, repair, or replace worn parts in machines and equipment.

  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Plastics - PA6 Experience
  • Plastic Extrusion Experience
  • Injection Molding Experience
  • Thermoforming Experience
  • Blow Molding Experience
  • Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Injection Molding Machine
  • Extrusion Machine
  • Blow Molding Machine
  • Die Cast Machine (Hot Chamber)

Salary info:

$25 - $26 / hr
