Are you someone who wants to make a difference, is interested in promoting public health issues, and likes engaging community members of various ages? We are working on various public health initiatives to support multi-generational ethnic communities across California (specifically southern California / Orange County) and currently looking for individuals who can work in both English and Chinese (to help reach the Chinese American community).

Who's SGA Marketing?

SGA Marketing is a nimble, mission-driven communications firm focusing on community-based issues. We help our clients (mostly local governments) turn policy into change at the community and individual levels.

We are a marketing firm, but we don't help our clients sell things. Instead, we believe those same tools can be used to improve the public good.

Responsibilities:

- Create engaging and persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including print advertising, social media posts, and website content

- Talk to community members to gather feedback on local government/public health programs

- Conduct thorough research on target audience and market trends to develop effective messaging strategies

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing campaigns

- Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines

- Conduct surveys with various community members (across different ages) to provide input on effective outreach

Experience:

- Proven experience engaging community members through public outreach

- Proficiency in copy editing and proofreading

- Familiarity with social media marketing strategies and platforms

- Knowledge of content creation best practices and trends

- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or other design software is a plus

This role offers flexibility in terms of working hours and location. You will have the freedom to showcase your creativity while delivering impactful messaging to target audiences.
