Responsibilities:

  • Install cable television and internet services according to COMPANY specifications and customer needs.

  • Set up equipment, including cable boxes, modems, and routers.

  • Ensure proper cable routing and connection to deliver optimal signal strength and reliability.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on existing cable systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with cable services, including signal loss, connectivity issues, and equipment malfunctions.

  • Replace or repair damaged cables, connectors, amplifiers, and other components as needed.

  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their questions, concerns, and service requests.

  • Educate customers on how to use their cable services effectively and troubleshoot common issues.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and resolving problems promptly.

  • Document all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs accurately using COMPANY-provided systems and forms.

  • Provide detailed reports on service calls, including the nature of the problem, actions taken, and resolution status.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate work schedules and share relevant information.

  • Follow industry regulations and COMPANY policies related to cable installation, maintenance, and safety standards.

  • Keep abreast of new technologies, tools, and techniques in the cable industry through ongoing training and professional development.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while working in the field.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or related field is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of cable systems, networking concepts, and telecommunications equipment.

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for installation and repairs.

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasional evenings or weekends.

  • Valid driver's license.
