Position Summary
The Media Specialist is technologically savvy and will be responsible for running the broadcast studio to present and disseminate live, virtual, in-person and recorded content. This position also supports the technological needs for all in-person, live, and virtual events organization-wide. They will work closely with the VP of Communications, Communications Specialist, and Graphic Designer to promote the value of the BBB brand.
Key Responsibilities:

Brand Ambassador:
In conjunction with the VP of Communications, develops internal and external communications in support of strategic communications initiatives: to promote the value of the BBB brand. Represents BBB at programs and events to market the value of BBB (in-person and virtual activities, as well as in webinars and podcasts).
Production Planning:
- Collaborates with the production team to plan and organize workflows, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Facilitates communication between team members, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned on project timelines and objectives.
Production:
- Serves as a point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and a deep understanding of their needs and expectations. Works collaboratively to translate client ideas into actionable production plans.
- Partners with talent, producers, clients, and vendors to ensure a professional broadcast is produced.
- Runs on-site studio with broadcast capabilities, editing software and podcast functions.
- Operates cameras, lighting, audio booth, and editing software.
- Assists in coordinating logistics for on-site and off-site productions, including scheduling deliveries and managing transportation.
- Performs various administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and filing, to support the production process.
- Addresses and resolve any unexpected challenges that may arise during production, collaborating with team members to find effective solutions.
- Participates in quality control processes to ensure the final output meets company standards and client expectations.
Equipment Setup & Maintenance:
- Sets up and maintains production equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition for use.
- Sets up props, furniture, lighting, and other items needed for production.
- Maintains studio by cleaning, storing, and organizing equipment and set materials.
- Sets up, breaks down, and transports promotional event equipment as required.
- Manages the handling and organization of materials required for production including inventory control.
Media Support:
- Assists in BBB’s conference rooms with technology needs and troubleshoot issues for all live, in-person and virtual Zoom events.
- Supports the preparation and execution of all BBB events and activities when needed.
Base Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a communications-related field, plus minimum of 3 years’ experience in video, audio, and podcast editing. Certification in film production or a related field is a plus.
- Strong understanding of programs like Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, Canva, Splice, and iMovie.
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office suite, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to run a TV broadcast camera.
- Demonstrated ability to record voiceovers.
- Experience producing and recording podcasts.
- Experience editing video and audio.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadline schedules.
- Demonstrated problem solving and judgement capabilities.
- Highly organized Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, organizational, business communication and time management skills.
- Must take initiative, be self-motivating, independent, accountable, and dependable performer.
- Valid Driver’s License.
