Summary/objective:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor contributes to the overall quality within the organization by ensuring smooth QA operations and compliance with ISO certification standards. This individual is responsible for overseeing QA day to day operations, providing necessary training, and maintaining adherence to quality processes that meet regulatory and customer expectations at their assigned location.

Essential functions

  • Oversees and maintains the quality department personnel, product testing and analysis.
  • Manage and maintain payroll software respective to QA direct reports including but not limited to managing attendance and time off requests, and the timely submission of payroll approval to human resources.
  • Assists in or leads in problem solving/root cause analysis and identifies and implements effective corrective actions and product continuous improvement initiatives to resolve quality issues and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Promote a culture of quality and adherence to ISO standards within the team and across the organization.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage QA personnel, ensuring that product testing, analysis, and quality processes are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversees and/or performs calibrations, raw material inspections and testing, documentations, reporting.
  • Encourage continual improvement within the company while working with production to monitor and adjust processes.
  • Utilize and maintain scrap reporting to identify areas of opportunity for improvement/
  • Activity is involved in supplier evaluations, non-conformances, annual reviews, and possible visits.
  • Able to grasp technical concepts and operate various testing equipment.
  • Assists in the development of documented, clear, and concise instructions with the goal of meeting process and product requirements.
  • Directly works with the evaluation and disposition of customer returns (RMA responses)
  • Provides recommendations and assists in the improvement of process flow/Lean/5S initiatives.

Work environment

  • May be exposed to wet and humid conditions, dust, fumes, gas, or chemicals.
  • May need to work around moving machinery, heights, restricted areas, confined spaces, extreme heat or cold.

Up to 20lbs of force exerted occasionally, up to 10lbs frequently. Significant walking and standing.

Up to 100lbs of force exerted occasionally, and up to 50lbs frequently, up to 20lbs constantly.

Up more than 100lbs of force exerted occasionally, and more than 50lbs frequently, and in excess of 20lbs constantly.

Strength Requirements

Travel required.

  • As needed between locations.
Requirements:

Required education and experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or B.S. in Engineering
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone and in person.
  • Must have experience in MS Office Suite
  • Must possess the ability to grasp technical concepts and drives projects/tasks to on-time completion.


Preferred education and experience

  • Previous experience working in ISO certified company.
