Harvest Cellar Worker at Sawtooth & Ste. Chapelle Winery

Precept Wine is the largest privately owned wine company in the Northwest. We’re seamlessly integrated to run our own vineyards, wineries and tasting rooms. We are the largest winery in Idaho producing over 100,000 cases annually. We source fruit from over 600 acres and 22 different cultivars to produce our wines. Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for a harvest cellar position in our Sawtooth & Ste. Chapelle production facility in located in Caldwell, Idaho. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Move Juice / Wine from tank to tank using pumps, hoses, and fittings.
  • Weigh additives and make additions to the Juice / Wine.
  • Sanitize tanks, hoses, pumps, and fittings.
  • Operate Pumps, Presses, and Filters.
  • Maintaining accurate records and performing accurate data entry.
  • Maintaining an organized and clean working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by Winemakers and Cellar Master.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational stills, detail oriented.
  • Self-starter with initiative willingness to learn and follow new procedures.
  • Previous experience in a winery preferred but not required.
  • Basic math required.
  • High school graduate or GED required
  • College degree preferred but not required

The ideal applicant will be able to work as a key member of our team and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

This is a paid part-time position under 32 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Extended hours during harvest including Saturday and Sunday.
