Construction Equipment Technician

Bemana is looking for a Construction Equipment Technician in Indianola, IA to join the team of one of the nation's largest John Deere dealer networks. As a Construction Equipment Technician, you will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment equipment.

*This is not a temp or temp-to-hire role – if hired, you will be employed directly by the John Deere dealer.*

Position Offers

• Top Pay: salary + incentive pay with total earning potential ranging from $45,000 to over $65,000

Construction Equipment Technician Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and determine repairs for construction equipment

• Repair, service, and assemble construction equipment

• Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment

• Complete dis-assembly and inspection construction equipment, as efficiently as possible, so parts may be ordered and machine work can be scheduled promptly

• Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing construction equipment

• Participate in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge

• Maintain a clean and safe shop facility and environment

• Help the dealership by participating in special programs, such as sales of service packages, demonstration programs, etc

Construction Equipment Technician Qualifications

• Prior experience as a mechanic on construction equipment or similar mechanical trade

• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes

• Proficient oral and written communication skills

• Valid driver's license is required
