Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven individual who is a team player and willing to be flexible to join our team as the Alternate Director of Nursing. As the Alternate Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clinical staff, admitting and caring for new clients, and ensuring top-level care is provided while guaranteeing their safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

Duties:

  • Be on call every other week to share the Supervising RN responsibilities with the Director of Nursing, and participate in the contingency plan for 24/7 clients
  • Serve as a backup RN for call outs, vacations, etc.
  • Admit new clients to the agency and complete recertifications as necessary utilizing OASIS assessments
  • Train and educate the clinical team
  • Perform other duties as discussed or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado; a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in home care, and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coordinate, and direct clinical personnel
  • Knowledge of business management, Medicare and Medicaid, and ACHC requirements is preferred
  • BLS certified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to market and relate tactfully with clients and other members of the community
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements
