Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership quality standards.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using up-to-date diagnostic tools and special service equipment provided.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, etc.
- Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and make recommendations on any additional maintenance and/or repair items.
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer policies and procedures.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor and/or Service Manager.
- Achieve & Maintain GM Technician Training Certification(s).
Qualifications:
- Previous GM experience a plus, but not required.
- Completion of a Certified Auto Tech training program a plus, but not required.
- ASE certifications a plus.
- NYS Motor Vehicle Inspectors License.
- GM Training & Certifications a plus.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to fix it right the first time are required.
- Reliable transportation to work required.
- Must be able to work together as a quality-oriented customer-focused team.
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
