Information Security Analyst - Part-Time Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join this dynamic team at an emerging e-commerce platform on a part-time basis. If you have a passion for cybersecurity and are adept at implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive information, we are looking for someone like you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Protocols: Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect our systems and data.

  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent future breaches.

  • Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.

  • Security Awareness: Educate staff on security protocols, threats, and best practices to foster a culture of security awareness.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.

  • Security Monitoring: Utilize security tools to monitor network activity, investigate potential threats, and take preventive measures.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security measures, incidents, and actions taken for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in information security, preferably in an e-commerce or similar industry.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Certifications: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

    • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software.

    • Knowledge of network security, encryption protocols, and firewalls.

    • Ability to conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
