At Here Tomorrow we have reimagined suicide prevention. We inspire hope and provide real help to people at risk for suicide and their families through same-day peer mental health support and timely access to outpatient mental healthcare. We have developed a new concept in the mental health continuum of care—a safe, nonjudgmental, physical, and virtual space to have a conversation about mental health. Responsibilities:
- Provide recovery education to service recipients for every phase of the recovery journey from first engagement, stabilization, and sustained recovery maintenance.
- Assist people to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths, and support systems regarding recovery
- Assist and coach people to develop their own plan for advancing recovery and wellness.
- Document all service activities in customer relations management platform.
- Increase constituent satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy at every touchpoint.
- Widen the impact of Here Tomorrow in the community by promoting the services of the organization in the community.
- Collaborate with team to develop innovative approaches for engaging at-risk individuals, their families and those who may be able to intervene to prevent tragedy.
- Assist those seeking help with accessing mental healthcare in the community by linking them with mental health treatment providers through our funded therapy program, community resources, and other social support services as needed.
- Promote a person-centered approach to serving people with mental health conditions.
- Support team members as needed with other projects
- Live the Here Tomorrow mission and organizational values of love, sharing, accountability, and perseverance.
Position Performance Measures:
- Greater community understanding of the organization’s cause
- Greater desire of the community to support the organization financially
- Empowerment of local community to effect change around cause
- Improved identification and engagement of at-risk individuals
- Increased stakeholder loyalty
- Increased public safety
- Increased public health
- Applicants must be certified or eligible for certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) or Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) in the State of Florida.
- Must have lived experience as an adult in recovery for a minimum of 2-years from mental health and/or substance use condition.
- This is a part-time non-exempt position.
- The starting pay range is based on experience, training, and certification. To be considered for employment at Here Tomorrow, applicants who have used our services as a Friend must have either a two-year gap since their last session or be at least two years post program completion.
