Our Information Technology (IT) - Manager is responsible for the deployment of IT solutions with a focus on seamless day-to-day operations and exceptional user experience. This position oversees these functional areas: Service Desk, Systems, Software, and Networks. Additionally, this position is responsible for analyzing and improving organizational processes, quality, productivity, and efficiency. A critical goal of this position and their team is to deliver exceptional customer service along with maintaining strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Management:
- Must be a hands-on leader of a team of IT professionals that oversee and manage all aspects of our IT to include internal software development team, security, hardware, servers, networking, database, telecom, storage, backup, and support services.
- Coordinate and manage software development including the change control process.
- Identify both software and hardware requirements and recommend solutions to optimize our technology stack.
- Proactively manage system performance, identifying constraints, and implementing optimizations for enhanced efficiency and user experience.
- Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of systems, adhering to industry best practices.
Security and Compliance:
- Evaluate and ensure adherence to federal technology requirements for security.
- Stay abreast of the latest security standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential risks.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain smooth operation of outsourced IT services, such as cloud hosting and software licensing.
- Assess vendor performance, negotiate agreements, and build strong relationships to enhance value and reduce risks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or information technology or 10 years of equivalent working experience in IT.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years effectively managing IT.
- Experience developing applications
- Experience leading a development team
- Expertise in Windows, VMWare and SQL Server.
- Demonstrated track record with prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven expert problem-solving abilities/ troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Must be able to work on-site.
Additional Ideal Experience or Knowledge:
- Familiarity with security compliance requirements for CMMC, DFARS, ISO, ITAR, NIST, PII and PHI.
- Certifications: CISSP, MS900, and AZ801.
- Experience in manufacturing.
