Job SummaryThe Muay Thai Coach is responsible for providing high-quality Muay Thai instruction to guests, residents, and other authorized users of the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both training and coaching, with a deep understanding of Muay Thai principles and techniques. The coach will create a supportive and inspiring environment, helping members achieve their individual fitness goals.
Essential Job Functions- Provide expert Muay Thai instruction in group and individual settings.
- Design and implement training programs tailored to the needs and goals of each participant.
- Serve as a motivator and role model, embodying the principles of discipline, dedication, and passion for martial arts.
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during training sessions.
- Assist in classes that require additional monitoring and substitute classes as needed.
- Answer guests' fitness questions and provide guidance before and after training sessions.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training workshops.
- Maintain the highest industry standards in teaching and safety practices.
- Refer guests to other in-house professionals as necessary, including Spa Therapists and Health & Wellness Professionals.
- Report and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices to management immediately.
- Must be flexible with the ability to work throughout the day, weekends, and holidays.
- A minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the level of a Kru.
- Extensive experience studying and practicing Muay Thai in Thailand.
- At least 2 years of experience fighting at reputable venues.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to motivate and work with a diverse group of people.
- Must be professional and outgoing, able to represent Carillon Miami Wellness Resort at a public level.
- CPR certification, including AED training and basic first aid knowledge, is required.
- Must be guest-service oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.
